Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a Social Services Director to lead the Social Services department, ensuring ethical standards and regulatory compliance while prioritizing resident dignity and quality of life.

You will supervise staff, develop programs, assess psychosocial needs, and coordinate access to services, with a focus on geriatric care and NASW guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a human services field required.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population required.
• Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required.
• Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services department.
• Ensure compliance with NASW Code of Ethics and all federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations.
• Foster a climate that maximizes residents' individuality, independence, and dignity and supports optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
