Job summary

Reserve at Mission in Overland Park, KS, seeks an Activities Director to plan and run a comprehensive program of activities and leisure pursuits for residents, aligned with their care plans.

You will design and implement social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical activities, ensuring high-quality resident engagement. Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field and state licensure are preferred, with relevant LTC experience.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with seniors.
• Flexible, fun, and energetic personality.
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area; should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Align activities with the comprehensive resident care plan.
• Collaborate with staff to tailor programs to individual resident needs.
