The role emphasizes compassionate care, ethical practice, and regulatory compliance while supporting residents' dignity and independence.

Ideal candidates bring supervisory social work experience in healthcare, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills to lead a multidisciplinary team and enhance residents' quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a human services field (required).
• Licensed, certified, or registered in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory social work experience in a healthcare setting (geriatric focus).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, evaluate and direct the Social Services department.
• Foster policies and routines that maximize residents' independence, dignity, and well-being.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Social Services Director, you will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies. You will also be responsible for fostering a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity. This climate should provide residents with the highest practical level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. As the Social Services Director, you will be responsible for identifying psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs along with providing, developing, and/or aiding in the access of services to meet those needs.

Do You Have What It Takes?
