Carnegie Village Rehabilitation and Health Care Center seeks a Social Services Director to oversee the Social Services department, ensuring compliance with NASW ethics and all regulations. You will lead planning and evaluation to enhance residents' independence, dignity, and well-being.

The role requires a bachelor’s in social work or related field, plus supervisory experience with geriatric populations and familiarity with LTC settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field.
• Minimum of one year supervisory social work experience in a health care setting with geriatric population.
• Minimum of two years prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Social Services Director, you will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies. You will also be responsible for fostering a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity. This climate should provide residents with the highest practical level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. As the Social Services Director, you will be responsible for identifying psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs along with providing, developing, and/or aiding in the access of services to meet those needs.
