Job summary

Stratford Commons Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON, RN) to lead nursing services and ensure quality resident care. You will supervise nursing 24/7 and, in the Administrator's absence, assume center operations responsibilities.

RN license in state required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred; LTC/SNF/AL/MC experience and nurse-supervisor background are needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state of practice.
• Minimum two years in a nurse supervisory role.
• Experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Director of Nursing | DON | RN, you will be responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with orders of the physicians and the total needs of the residents. You will also be responsible for 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and directing the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care. In the absence of the Administrator, you will assume responsibility for center operations.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing
• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred
• Prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Two years of experience in a nurse supervisory role required
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
