Job summary

Windsor Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a qualified Social Services Director to lead the Social Services department, ensuring person-centered care that respects residents' independence and dignity. You will plan, develop, and evaluate services in line with NASW ethics and applicable regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in social work or a human services field, state licensure, and at least one year of supervisory experience in geriatrics, plus two years in LTC/SNF/AL/MC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a human services field is required.
• Minimum of one year supervisory social work experience in a healthcare setting with geriatric population.
• Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Social Services Director, you will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies. You will also be responsible for fostering a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity. This climate should provide residents with the highest practical level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. As the Social Services Director, you will be responsible for identifying psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs along with providing, developing, and/or aiding in the access of services to meet those needs.
