Job summary

Peak Resources, a leading NC skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living company with nine locations, is seeking a Full-time Social Worker for Peak Resources Charlotte. The role offers excellent compensation and benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and a 401(k).

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Responsibilities include directing the facility's Social Services Department and ensuring residents' emotional and social needs are met in compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services field is required.
• One (1) year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting.
• Current social work license in the State if applicable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

We are currently seeking a Full-time qualified Social Worker, Social Services, Degreed to join our team at Peak Resources Charlotte.

Role Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the facility’s Social Services Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines and regulations, our P&P’s, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.

Requirements

Required Skills, Education, Licensure, and/or Certifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling and psychology and
• One (1) year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals
• Current social work license in the State if applicable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

Preferred Experience

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing facility, or other medical facility
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a long-term care facility
