Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of college including 15 semester units in social welfare, social/human service, sociology, or other social/behavioral science.
• Two years of full-time experience in a public or private social services agency providing services to disadvantaged adults or children.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visitation for children placed in foster care with parents, siblings, and relatives.
• Schedule, supervise, and document visits.
• Provide coaching or parenting education during visits.
• Transport clients as needed.
• Assist social workers with designated tasks.
• Maintain records and data in automated systems.
• May testify in juvenile court hearings; assist with a variety of child and adult services.
