County of Northampton is seeking a Social Service Aide 2 – Children, Youth & Families to assist caseworkers by transporting clients, supervising family visitation, and supporting clerical duties in a child welfare setting. You will document client interactions and coordinate with families and professionals to ensure safe, supportive services.

The role requires strong knowledge of community resources, infant development, and home management, plus a valid driver’s license and solid communication

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of full-time public contact work in a human services agency with at least 1 year of interviewing and information gathering.
• Possession of an Associate’s degree as listed above and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Provides transportation and accompanies clients to medical appointments, social service organizations, placement, educational and training facilities, and Court hearings as well as visits between placed children and their parents.
• Supervises family visitation between parents and children in placement, involving exchange of children between resource/foster and biological parents/relatives.
• Documents and reports client contact, observations, behavior, and activities for case record; provides information to the assigned caseworker.
• Provides childcare for small groups of children while parents attend parenting classes and appointments; ensures safety and cleanliness of visitation rooms.
• Delivers correspondence from caseworkers to clients and other professionals.
• Performs routine office and clerical duties including maintenance of file systems, operation of office equipment, answering phones, and taking messages.
