Job summary

Demandlane is looking for a dedicated Case Manager to assist clients in navigating the Social Security Disability (SSD) process. This full-time role involves case development, client communication, and coordination with medical professionals to ensure clients receive the support they need throughout their claims process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with social security claims.
  • Experience in a remote or virtual office environment preferred.
  • Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.

About Us:

We are launching a disability advocacy group to help individuals navigate the Social Security Disability (SSD) process with compassion, integrity, and expertise. Our team is growing, and we’re seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our mission-driven organization.

Position Summary:

The Social Security Disability Case Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients applying for SSDI and/or SSI benefits. This role involves case development, documentation review, client communication, coordination with medical professionals, and support throughout the claim process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather required documentation and information from clients to support their claims.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, guidance, and support.
  • Prepare clients for SSA medical evaluations, consultative exams, and hearings.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date case notes in case management software.
  • Communicate with social security administration officials to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of all documents and appeals.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to social security policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, legal studies, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with social security claims or similar benefits programs.
  • Compassionate, patient, and effective communicator.
  • Ability to empathize with clients and provide compassionate support.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, case management systems, and other relevant software programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SSA disability programs and processes.
  • Bilingual skills (especially Spanish).
