Role Description
Women’s March is seeking a Social Media Manager to help amplify our message and grow our digital presence. This role will focus on content creation, scheduling, engagement, and analytics across all Women’s March social media platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about feminist activism, skilled in digital storytelling, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
This is a full-time, remote position. Occasional travel is required for national mobilizations and staff retreats
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Draft, design, and schedule engaging content across key social platforms
- Collaborate with the Programs team and leadership to develop concepts, refine messaging, and target key audiences.
- Create and edit graphics, videos, and other digital assets using Canva, CapCut, DeScript or similar tools.
- Manage high-volume content output, rapid response, and competing priorities.
- Monitor and leverage trending topics, hashtags, and cultural moments, staying in tune with current social media trends relevant to the work of Women’s March.
- Plan, manage, and execute live coverage during in-person events.
Community Engagement:
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions, responding in a timely, thoughtful manner.
- Build and sustain relationships with partners, influencers, and digital allies to increase reach
- Uphold and embody Women’s March’s voice, values, and tone across all interactions
Analytics and Strategy:
- Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s social media strategy
- Develop and manage the organizational tone and voice as it aligns with the brand persona and social media strategy.
- Track performance metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategy accordingly
- Provide regular reporting to the Programs team and leadership
- Adapt approach based on market research and analytics.

Qualifications- You are a activist.
- You understand and embody values-based communications principles.
- 5 years experience managing and growing social media accounts
- Strong graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, DeScript, or similar platforms).
- You are a clutch player who calls for the ball when the game is on the line.
- You can move between online platforms, and understand the demographics of each.
- You are comfortable and experienced in managing large brand audiences.
- You are comfortable shifting between formal and informal communication styles.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, reliable, and solutions-oriented — someone who can keep many balls in the air.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, communicate with clarity, and operate confidently in high-powered or fast-paced team environments.
- Must be a feminist, and committed to working across race, place, and class for a better future for us all.
Work Environment & Schedule- Fully remote position; must be self-directed and reliable in a virtual setting
- Frequent travel may be required for national mobilizations and staff retreats
- Flexibility is necessary to respond to urgent events or actions across time zones
