Description

Ideal Candidate

You're a natural creative who gets genuinely excited about the trends, culture, and the fast pace of social media. You're comfortable being both the storyteller and the editor, equally confident writing a caption, shooting a reel, or cutting together a story sequence. You have a sharp eye for what will resonate with an audience, and you don't wait for content to be handed to you — you're already thinking about what's next. You have excellent communication and writing skills, with a gift for taking complex or clinical topics and turning them into content that's clear, relatable and easy to understand. You're drawn to mission-driven work, with a genuine interest in nonprofits, community health and making a real difference in the lives of the people around you.

The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Content Marketing and is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating and optimizing Washington Regional's social media presence. This role is ideal for a creative storyteller who's always plugged into the latest trends, platform updates and content formats, and knows how to translate that energy into original, on-brand content. The Social Media Manager creates and executes content aligned with the organization's marketing plan and strategic goals to build brand awareness, promote key service lines and drive engagement. This position works closely with other members of the marketing team and departmental leaders.

Clearly and effectively articulate Washington Regional's mission, purpose and strategy across our social media platforms

Plan, shoot, edit and publish engaging, creative and informative content customized to each platform's audience — including copy, photography, reels, stories and short-form video — on a daily basis to build brand awareness, promote key service lines, drive engagement and grow our audience

Bring strong multimedia content creation skills to the role, with hands-on experience producing polished reels, stories and short-form video using current editing tools, trending audio, transitions and effects

Stay ahead of emerging social media trends, challenges, formats and platform features, and move quickly to adapt them in ways that fit Washington Regional's brand and voice

Generate original, attention-grabbing content ideas rather than relying solely on repurposed material — bringing fresh creative concepts to the content calendar

Review and edit content calendars submitted by clinics and other facilities to ensure content aligns with marketing objectives and Washington Regional brand standards

Monitor social media accounts and respond to comments, questions and messages in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with the marketing department's moderation procedures and patient privacy guidelines

Report and analyze social media metrics and insights to inform and refine future content

Identify and evaluate additional platforms to expand Washington Regional's social media presence

Continuously research social media best practices and proactively bring new trends, tools and features to the team
