Job summary

You will manage content calendars, collaborate with editors and reporters, monitor conversations, and experiment with trends while ensuring accurate, inclusive news representation.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in social media content creation and management, including writing posts, crafting headlines, and adapting stories for multiple platforms.
• Experience with social media strategy and planning, including managing editorial calendars and aligning content with audience and brand objectives.
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools, social media management platforms, and basic image/video editing tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with attention to accuracy, clarity, and non-discriminatory language.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with editorial, design, and marketing teams in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of current affairs and strong interest in news across politics, business, technology, lifestyle, and entertainment is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on news cycles and breaking stories.
