The Social Media Director will be responsible for leading the brand’s social media strategy, managing content creation, and elevating our presence across all digital platforms. Position Overview

The Social Media Director will be responsible for leading the brand’s social media strategy, managing content creation, and elevating our presence across all digital platforms. This role combines strategic leadership with creative execution—ideal for a candidate who is equally strong in analytics, copywriting, visual design, and community engagement. The right candidate will have experience growing brands from the ground up and a proven ability to create and manage compelling, high-performing social content.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Leadership
  • Develop and lead the comprehensive social media strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition
  • Set clear KPIs and regularly analyze platform performance, reporting insights and recommendations
  • Stay current on platform trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices
Content Creation & Execution
  • Personally create and publish high-quality, platform-native content (static, video, stories, reels, short-form, etc.)
  • Design visual assets using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to ensure brand consistency
  • Write compelling, brand-aligned copy for all social platforms and campaigns
Brand Management & Community Engagement
  • Own and evolve the brand’s voice across all social media channels
  • Monitor conversations, respond to comments and DMs, and proactively engage with the community
  • Oversee social listening and reputation management
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with marketing, PR, influencer, eCommerce, and creative teams to align on campaigns and product launches
  • Manage internal and freelance content contributors or agencies as needed
  • Coordinate with paid media teams to amplify high-performing content
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media marketing, including 1+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong portfolio of original content creation, including social-first design and video assets
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and short-form video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro)
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth and engagement across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X
  • Deep understanding of platform analytics, content strategy, and consumer behavior
  • Excellent written communication skills and brand storytelling ability
  • Experience managing budgets, freelancers, or small teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in lifestyle, wellness, or consumer packaged goods industries
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Familiarity with social scheduling tools (Later, Sprout Social, Meta Suite, etc.)
  • Basic motion graphics or animation experience is a plus
  • Understanding of paid social media strategy and performance tracking
