Family Service League (FSL) is seeking a part-time Social Media Coordinator to oversee all social media channels for the agency. The Social Media Coordinator manages the day-to-day posting and maintenance of Family Service League's social media channels. Working closely with the Development Team, this role helps share timely updates, promote events and campaigns, and highlight FSL programs and services across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn and Google.
This position supports agency visibility, community engagement, and fundraising efforts by creating and posting consistent, mission-aligned content. The Social Media Coordinator will also assist the Development Team with special events, campaigns, and departmental projects as needed.
Associate's Degree or certificate programs in Social Media Marketing required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
At least 1 year of digital marketing and social media experience required. Long Island B2B or NP experience a plus.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Meta Business Suite, Constant Contact, Adobe, Canva, and Word Press a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills required.
A creative individual with a strong attention to detail and a sense of graphics and layout, demonstrating talent in design, composition, and color.
Experience with basic video editing tools, e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar.
Ability to work with time sensitive tasks and to manage multiple projects.
Working knowledge of basic SEO concepts.
Motivated work ethic, positive attitude, and receptive to new ideas.
Experience with WordPress and website content management, including making routine website updates and edits as needed.
This position requires sitting for long periods of time and the occasional travel via driving, usually within Suffolk County.
