Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a motivated social media content creator and communications support for the School of Education & Human Sciences. Ideal candidates will have coursework or work experience in social media, digital marketing, and basic photography/video skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with social media demonstrated through coursework or previous work.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or another graphic design tool.
• Majoring in marketing, public relations, journalism or related field, or within the School of Education & Human Sciences.
• Sophomore status as indicated in application materials.

Responsibilities

• Write and brainstorm social media content; support major campaigns; create on-brand social graphics; curate content; assist in strategy and reporting.
• Develop blog posts and website content; research and interview for articles; pitch story ideas in meetings.
• Provide event marketing and logistics support.
• Edit and proofread collateral.
• Perform other communication tasks as assigned.
