Job description

We are seeking a skilled Social Media Content Creator and Copywriter to develop polished, engaging, and authentic content that supports corporate communications, marketing initiatives, and sales objectives. This role will transform existing content, subject matter expert insights, and informal drafts into clear, compelling messaging tailored to the company’s brand voice and target audiences.

The ideal candidate has strong writing and editing skills, understands social media best practices, particularly for LinkedIn, and can quickly identify key themes and messages from a variety of source materials. This is a freelance opportunity estimated at 10–15 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Social Media Content Creation: Develop and refine engaging social media posts, particularly for LinkedIn, that align with corporate messaging, brand voice, and marketing objectives.
  • Content Development & Repurposing: Transform rough drafts, Word documents, brainstorms, and existing materials into concise, polished social media posts, short-form newsletters, and other marketing content.
  • Copywriting & Editing: Edit and elevate content written by internal teams and subject matter experts to ensure clarity, consistency, professionalism, and an authentic human tone.
  • Subject Matter Expert Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather insights, clarify messaging, and translate complex topics into accessible, audience-focused content.
  • Newsletter Development: Support the creation of corporate newsletters and LinkedIn newsletter content, organizing existing information into cohesive themes and compelling narratives.
  • Content Strategy & Messaging: Identify key takeaways, develop central messages, and tailor content to support sales initiatives, thought leadership, and brand awareness.
  • Multi-Platform Content Support: Help organize and develop content for LinkedIn and emerging channels, including Bluesky and Reddit, with a focus on engaging audiences and positioning subject matter experts as thought leaders.
  • Brand Voice & Quality Control: Maintain a consistent corporate voice across content while ensuring messaging is polished, engaging, professional, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing leads and internal content stakeholders to develop content, incorporate feedback, and obtain approvals before publication.
Qualifications
  • Experience in social media content creation, copywriting, content marketing, editorial writing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of LinkedIn content best practices and professional audience engagement.
  • Ability to synthesize unstructured information and rough drafts into concise, compelling messaging.
  • Strong judgment in identifying key themes, organizing information, and communicating complex topics clearly.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to corporate brand guidelines, marketing objectives, and different audiences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including working with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments with minimal direction.
  • Familiarity with Bluesky, Reddit, and other social media platforms is a plus.
  • Basic graphic design or Canva experience is a plus, but strong writing and content development skills are the primary focus.
Engagement Details
  • Schedule: Approximately 10–15 hours per week, with potential for increased hours during high-priority initiatives.
  • Work Arrangement: Flexible freelance engagement; remote work is suitable.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing leadership, two market unit leads, and internal editorial/content stakeholders.
  • Content Approval: Marketing stakeholders will provide direction and approve final content before publication.
  • Anticipated Start: Within approximately two to two and a half weeks of the October 23, 2026 intake discussion.
Ideal Candidate

A strong writer and content strategist who can take scattered information, rough drafts, and subject matter expert insights and turn them into polished, engaging, on-brand content. The ideal candidate combines editorial judgment with an understanding of social media messaging, works independently, and helps internal teams produce higher-quality content efficiently without relying on generic, AI-generated copy.
