Minimum Qualifications Position Summary This position is designed to assist the Marketing and Communications division’s content creation efforts, with a focused approach toward creation and distribution for social media. Additionally, this position will assist with other administrative duties as assigned. This position will aid a student’s understanding of content creation and what it takes to facilitate the distribution of this information across numerous platforms. Experience in successfully managing an active and curated social media presence, with an emphasis on design and communication, is required. Candidates should be familiar with Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator in particular) and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Experience interacting and communicating with a variety of audiences is preferred. Basic knowledge of video editing would be beneficial.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position UGA student preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Proficiency in creating content for social media platforms following current best practices (including, but not limited to, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn). Working knowledge of Later.com, Hootsuite analytics or comparable analytics toolsets is highly preferred but not required. Proficiency in the use of AP style is highly preferred but not required.
