9Rooftops Marketing, LLC in Chicago is seeking a Social Media Manager to support day‑to‑day execution across client brands, scheduling content, tracking performance, and maintaining influencer programs within an agency setting.

You will work with social strategists, project managers and account teams, manage communities, produce monthly reports, and stay current with platform updates while entering time daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in social media, marketing, or communications; internships and relevant academic or personal projects welcome.
• Strong interest in social media, digital culture and how brands appear online.
• Familiarity with major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
• Proficient with spreadsheets, presentations, and recurring processes; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and publish social content across platforms using approved content calendars and publishing tools.
• Ensure posts are accurately programmed, including copy, creative, tagging, links and publishing dates/times.
• Ensure content aligns with defined best practices and has been proofed and approved before posting.
• Help maintain content calendars.
• Flag potential issues, missed deadlines or content needs to the appropriate team members.
• Gather and organize monthly social performance metrics across platforms.
• Build recurring client reports and presentations using established templates.
• Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and clearly organized.
• In partnership with the team, help identify notable trends, top‑performing content and opportunities for optimization.
• Maintain reporting trackers and historical performance data.
• Support the Senior Social Media Influencer + Strategist with tasks including research and identify potential creators, coordinate communication, keep influencer projects organized, track contracts/deliverables.
• Monitor comments, direct messages and other social inquiries for assigned clients.
• Respond to routine questions and comments in the brand's voice using the approved script.
• Escalate customer service issues or sensitive topics.
• Maintain a timely and thoughtful presence across social channels.
• Stay current on platform updates, trends, creators, and cultural conversations.
• Help with administrative and organizational tasks that keep the team running efficiently.
• Enter time on a daily basis.
• Take on other projects and responsibilities as needed.
