Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to help build relationships with local communities and advance our social responsibility efforts. The role offers hands-on experiences in program development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, and impact reporting.

The internship runs May 31, 2027–August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week in a hybrid, on-site setting across the greater Milwaukee footprint.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a related undergraduate program.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Demonstrated teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs and volunteer events.
• Support partnerships with nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
• Help track and report social impact metrics.
• Contribute to internal and external communications for initiatives.
• Research social issues and community needs.
• Assist with grant applications and sponsorship requests.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
• Develop event planning and stakeholder communication skills.
