Job summary

Five Iron Golf is hiring an Assistant General Manager - Social (AGM-S) to partner with the General Manager in delivering outstanding guest experiences across our social/golf venues. You will coach staff, lead the Golf Experience Team, and drive revenue from simulator rentals, food and beverage sales, and leagues.

You will recruit, train, and manage operations, optimize labor costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety and alcohol laws.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality management experience, including leadership roles.
• Exemplary communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
• Availability to be present in the space on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing and certifications for the location.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue in Simulator Rentals, Food and Beverage Sales, and League sales.
• Recruit, hire, and train staff, and onboard new hires.
• Evaluate employee performance to meet daily business needs.
• Oversee social operations including leagues, events, and staff scheduling.
• Set above-and-beyond service standards for all staff.
• Monitor labor and operating costs to support profitability.
• Understand location P&L and assist local marketing efforts.
• Sell and cross-sell products and services with product knowledge.
• Engage customers with personalized recommendations and build community loyalty.
• Manage guest interactions and post-visit follow-ups to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate sales transactions and customer service inquiries.
• Collaborate with team to achieve business goals.
• Oversee leagues and tournaments across seasons.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and alcohol service laws.
