Job description

The central operational heartbeat managing digital customer intake, Jobber scheduling, municipal code compliance referrals, and volunteer coordination. $45,760 - $54,080 annualized.

Yard Reboot Project, Inc. runs two engines out of one operation: paid commercial and residential grounds care Monday through Thursday, and 100% free property rescues for seniors, disabled veterans, and homebound neighbors every Friday. Both engines run on dispatch. That is your seat.

As Operations & Dispatch Coordinator you build the routes, cluster the stops for density so crews spend their hours working instead of driving, field the incoming calls and quote requests, and keep the charitable nomination queue moving from intake to scheduled build. You are the calm voice a worried homeowner reaches, and the reason a crew lead never wonders what happens next.

This role is mostly office-based with regular field contact. It suits someone who is organizationally relentless, comfortable on the phone with people in difficult circumstances, and satisfied by a well-run day.

Why this role matters

Every hour of drive time you cut turns into another hour of relief work. You will see the throughput you create show up as families served on our public transparency dashboard.

Mission impact

Triages community nominations from Austin Code Compliance and senior agencies so aid reaches the neighbors who need it fastest.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:0 AM - 4:30 PM.

A day in this role
  • 7:00 AM - Confirm crews are rolling, resolve overnight scheduling changes, and send the day's route briefs.
  • 8:30 AM - Work the inbound queue: quote requests, client calls, and scheduling confirmations.
  • 10:30 AM - Review new charitable nominations, verify eligibility details, and call applicants with an update.
  • 1:00 PM - Build next week's routes by geographic density, balancing crew capacity against job duration.
  • 3:00 PM - Close-out review: photo verification, exception handling, and client follow-ups.
  • Thursday - Finalize the Friday relief build plan: volunteers, materials, disposal, and homeowner confirmation.
What you will do
  • Manage daily Jobber dispatch calendars and route density across Greater Austin.
  • Review and triage community yard nominations and code compliance referrals.
  • Handle client communications, proposal clearances, diagnostic audits, and invoice tracking.
  • Coordinate volunteer sign-ups and logistics for Friday rescue events.
