Job summary

ColourPop in Sherman Oaks, CA is seeking a senior social content strategist and hybrid art director who lives and breathes beauty culture. You’ll lead organic content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, building distinct channel strategies and a cohesive visual identity.

Collaborate with brand and Creative to brief creators, manage UGC rosters, and drive engagement, fandom, and real business impact. The role demands fast decision making, data fluency, and a track record of growing large brand

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in social media, content creation, or content strategy, with at least 2 years managing people or a team.
• Beauty industry experience is required.
• Genuine point of view on the beauty category and visual resonance.
• Deep understanding of how to create and curate engaging social content and direct creators.
• Platform expertise across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube and together channel strategies.
• Ability to plan content for engagement, fandom, and brand alignment.
• Hybrid art direction experience to brief creators and ensure on-brand visuals.
• Experience building ambassador programs, UGC rosters, or always-on community ecosystems.
• Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Canva) and social planning platforms.
• Strong data fluency to tell a story with engagement metrics and impact.

Responsibilities

• Own organic content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with distinct channel POVs.
• Collaborate with brand and Creative to maintain visual consistency and direction across channels.
• Program feeds with intention, sequencing, pacing, and optimized copywriting.
• Manage UGC roster and community activation for ongoing engagement.
• Build cultural cachet through timely creator collaborations and trend activation.
• Lead trend detection and provide a weekly activation shortlist.
• Track engagement, saves, shares, reach, and EMV; present data-driven recommendations.
• Create playbooks for content planning by channel, trend activation, and campaigns.
• Operate with a multi-hat mentality to get things done quickly.
