Soccer Shots:

Soccer Shots is a fast-growing, intro-to-soccer program offered throughout the Northwestern VA territory. It serves children aged 2 to 8 years through relationships with private childcare centers and public park programs.

Objective of the Position:

To provide coaching, administrative, and marketing support to the owner and to help identify and implement new programs.

Position Description:

The Assistant Program Coordinator joins a dedicated leadership team committed to delivering excellent community programs. Job Responsibilities:

1. Coaching and Staff Leadership:
   • Recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, and managing instructors.
   • Maintaining instructor schedules, handling cancellations and reschedules.
   • Managing staff paperwork and files.
   • Hosting instructor meetings and managing intern programs.
   • Coaching 10-20 sessions per week each season.
2. Marketing and Communications:
   • Executing seasonal marketing activities, including demos, distributing materials, posters, signs, and reminders.
   • Assisting with direct mail and park program promotions.
   • Communicating with parents and partners, including writing thank you notes and gifts.
   • Managing newsletters and social media accounts.
   • Representing Soccer Shots at events and running special programs.
   • Writing press releases with approval.
3. Administration:
   • Scheduling seasons and preparing promotional materials.
   • Organizing registration and enrollment.
   • Maintaining equipment and inventory.
4. Sales and Growth:
   • Achieving enrollment and revenue goals through outreach and promotion.
   • Seeking sponsorships and partnerships.
   • Developing new programs.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work involves indoor/outdoor environments, including running and bending. Occasional moderate noise levels are expected. The position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, with additional hours during busy seasons, including evenings and weekends.
