Reports to: Elizabeth Ganzhorn, Director/Owner of Soccer Shots Northwestern Virginia

Soccer Shots: Soccer Shots is a fast-growing, intro-to-soccer program offered throughout the Northwestern VA territory. Through relationships established with private childcare centers and public park programs, Soccer Shots currently serves children aged 2 to 8 years each season.

Objective of the Position: To provide coaching, administrative, and marketing support to the owner of the Company, and to help identify and implement new programs.

Position Description: The Assistant Program Coordinator joins a small, dedicated leadership team committed to delivering excellent programs and community service. Job Responsibilities:

Coaching and Staff Leadership:

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and manage instructors, including scheduling and hosting seasonal meetings.
• Maintain instructor schedules, handle cancellations/reschedules, and manage staff files.
• Assist with internship programs, including hiring and evaluating interns.
• Coach 10-20 sessions per week each season.

Marketing and Communications:

• Execute seasonal marketing activities such as demos, distributing registration materials, and posting signage.
• Assist with direct mail campaigns and park program promotions.
• Communicate with parents and partners through emails, thank-you notes, and gifts.
• Manage social media accounts and represent Soccer Shots at industry events and community activities.
• Organize special events and handle press releases with approval.

Administration:

• Plan and prepare materials for four seasonal programs.
• Manage registration, enrollment, and instructor equipment/inventory.

Sales and Growth:

• Achieve enrollment and revenue targets by expanding partnerships and promoting programs.
• Seek sponsorships and develop new program opportunities.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Work involves sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Must have excellent vision and be able to perform physical activities such as running, stopping, and bending during sessions. The environment includes indoor and outdoor sports settings, with some noise levels typical of a gymnasium. The position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, with additional hours during peak seasons, including evenings and weekends.
