Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join the SOC and protect Epic's SaaS infrastructure for national healthcare clients. You will identify security events, coordinate investigations across multiple teams, and push for long-term security improvements aligned with evolving threats.

Relocation to the Madison, WI area is reimbursed, and the role supports 1st–3rd shift coverage. You’ll contribute to policy adherence while leveraging tools like SIEM and AD in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, application whitelisting, and data loss prevention.
• Understanding of log analysis and monitoring concepts in security operations centers.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting is helpful.
• Knowledge of SIEM, MFA, and ITIL tools is useful.
• Exposure to access management and Active Directory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify security events in the environment and coordinate investigation and response across multiple teams.
• Propose long-term process improvements rather than quick fixes.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats and implement new security solutions.
• Escalate potential incidents and provide relevant information to stakeholders.
• Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting systems.
