Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to serve as the central point for security, safety, emergency response, and customer service within a transit environment.

Responsibilities include handling emergency and non-emergency calls, monitoring alarms and CCTV, coordinating with internal teams and responders, and documenting actions while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2 years in security operations.
• Able to handle high-stress environments and make timely decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Typing at least 35 words per minute with 90% accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, radios, and incident systems; coordinate responses.
• Coordinate with internal teams, field personnel, and responders during incidents.
• Accurately document calls, incidents, and actions taken.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain information security.
