Job summary

Deloitte Cyber is seeking a Managed Services Engineer III to join our Cyber Operate Offering. You’ll analyze monitoring results, validate events, and support advanced investigations. You’ll work with threat intelligence to enhance detection and guide response actions for incidents.

You’ll collaborate across teams to develop runbooks, track SLAs, and mentor others while maintaining certifications. A 24/7 support model with 50% office time is expected, and travel ~10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related IT discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or security operations.
• Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, Proxy, WAF, EDR, Anti-Virus, Sandboxing, network- and host-based firewalls, Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing, etc.
• Knowledge of APT tactics, techniques, and procedures; understanding of attack activities such as network probing / scanning, DDOS, malware activity.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP; knowledge in system security architecture and security solutions.
• Willingness to travel ~10% and work 24/7 support with 50% office time; immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced analysis of monitoring results, validate and investigate escalated events.
• Perform root cause analysis and searches related to threat intelligence; support Threat Hunting with investigations.
• Analyze network and endpoint data to determine indicators of compromise and create detection signatures.
• Advise on development of detection engineering content and testing; guide response plans based on incident type and severity.
• Develop and update runbooks/playbooks; track SOC SLAs and participate in Shift Lead responsibilities when needed.
