Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a SOC Manager to lead a highly automated, engineering-driven security operations program in Phoenix. You will oversee day-to-day SOC operations, advance threat hunting, detection engineering, automation, and incident response, while mentoring analysts and security engineers.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in information security, strong leadership in a SOC, experience with SIEM, SOAR, scripting, and a track record of building metrics and program maturity.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of information security experience.
• Leadership experience within a SOC or security operations environment.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, incident response, threat hunting and detection engineering.
• Strong understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
• Experience developing operational metrics and SOC performance measures.
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Knowledge of threat actors and incident response best practices.
• Experience managing MDR providers and security integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily SOC operations, incident response activities, and security monitoring.
• Build and mature threat hunting and detection engineering capabilities.
• Drive automation, SOAR implementations, and AI-assisted security operations.
• Develop operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Oversee vulnerability management, cloud security integrations, and coverage improvements.
• Manage MDR providers and third-party security services.
• Lead major security incidents, investigations, and post-incident reviews.
• Hire, mentor, and develop SOC analysts and security engineers.
• Establish SOC processes and continuous improvement.
