Job summary

Master Electronics in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst to own end-to-end incident response, hunt threats, and improve detections. You will mentor junior analysts and lead technical efforts during incidents, coordinating with IT and compliance teams. Strong experience with CrowdStrike and MITRE/NIST frameworks is required.

The role emphasizes hands-on detection tuning, playbook development, and a proactive security mindset to strengthen overall defenses.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in SOC, IR, or threat hunting.
• Hands-on with EDR/XDR and SIEM
• Scripting skills in Python/PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end incident response for escalated/complex cases.
• Threat hunting across EDR, email security, and SIEM.
• Tune and improve detection logic, rules and playbooks.
• Mentor SOC Analyst I with case shadowing and guidance.
• Lead as incident commander during active incidents.
• Review containment actions per human-approval process.
• Contribute to red-team/tabletop exercises.
• Support compliance and audit needs with records.
