Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to lead day-to-day Security Operations, drive detection engineering, and improve incident response across Pearson environments. You will guide automation, refine SOC processes, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and Pearson standards.

The role emphasizes on-call coverage, collaboration with internal and external partners, and delivering executive-level risk assessments and metrics. Strong communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, incident response, and detection engineering (4+ years).
• Hands-on with SOAR, EDR, NDR, and SIEM technologies.
• Experience with one or more Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24x7 SOC operations, incident detection, triage, containment, and root cause analysis.
• Develop detection logic, playbooks, and automated response workflows.
• Continuously assess and enhance SOC processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence and translate findings for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with standards and governance; report metrics to executives.
