Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a CND Analyst - SOC for the Army National Guard in Falls Church, VA. The role supports ITSM, monitoring, and cybersecurity operations across DoD information systems and infrastructure.

You will work Thursday through Saturday (12-hour shifts) and every other Wednesday (8-hour shift), with opportunities to contribute to incident response, SIEM tuning, and technical reporting. A DoD clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Willingness to work Thursday–Saturday 12-hour shifts and every other Wednesday 8 hours.
• Minimum 5 years IT relevant experience and 3 years SOC operations support.
• Experience with firewall, IDS/IPS, and router ACL policies.
• DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst certification or equivalent (e.g., CEH, CySA+).

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise systems and defend against cyber threats 24/7.
• Develop and implement a SOC Communications Plan.
• Support COOP exercises and remote relocation as needed.
• Provide technical reports on incidents and costs.
• Tune SIEM and IDS/IPS events to minimize false positives.
• Coordinate and report ISS‑related incidents.
• Support forensic analyses on digital media.
