FGS, LLC seeks a Cyber Defense Analyst (2nd Shift) to safeguard Navy TS/SCI networks at ONI HGCC in Suitland, MD. You’ll monitor alerts, investigate threats, and support proactive threat hunting. The role emphasizes incident handling and cross-team collaboration in a secure environment.

The position requires strong CND experience with SIEM/NIDPS tools, wireless assessments, and briefing skills for government stakeholders. Regular hours are 1530–2330 with potential floater shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in CS, IT, IA or related field preferred; without a degree 8+ years relevant experience.
• 5+ years concentrated experience in CND discipline regardless of degree.
• 3+ years monitoring and investigating alerts from cybersecurity tools.
• Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk/Elastic) and host-based tools.
• Knowledge of incident-management lifecycle & defense-in-depth concepts.

Responsabilités

• Monitor cybersecurity alerts affecting TS/SCI networks (JWICS, ATLAS, HGCC).
• Review SIEM/NIDPS/endpoint tools for anomalies and indicators of compromise.
• Investigate alerts, document findings, and escalate as needed.
• Create and manage cybersecurity incident tickets using approved systems.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and correlate events across platforms.
• Perform wireless security scans and document findings.
• Support analysis using CND tools and network security knowledge.
• Prepare operational and technical briefings for stakeholders.
• Assist in cyber defense exercises and development of CND procedures.
