Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Defense Operator to support AFCERT mission with near real-time network security monitoring, intrusion detection analysis, and host security monitoring across the Air Force Information Network.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, five years of DoD/IC cyber defense experience, and IAT Level 1 CND & GCFA certifications. You will work on 24x7 rotating shifts and contribute to mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in cyber defense operations, DoD/IC environment.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 8140 IAT Level 1 CND & GCFA certs required.
• Knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST 800-series.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct near real-time network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis.
• Review IDS/IPS alerts per OI and checklists.
• Perform host security monitoring, event analysis and triage.
• Develop, review and maintain host/system monitoring procedures.
• Analyze logs to identify intrusions and remediation steps.
• Record activity in CMS for investigations.
• Escalate incidents using established policies.
• Generate MISREPS and pass-on information for crews.
