Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking a SOAR Engineer/Developer for an onsite contract opportunity across Chicago, Denver, Washington, DC, or Jersey City. You will design, develop, and maintain API integrations within a SOAR ecosystem to support migrations and automate security operations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or SOAR, strong Python skills, and familiarity with Splunk SOAR and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, software development, systems integration, or SOAR engineering.
• Experience designing and developing REST API integrations.
• Strong Python programming and scripting skills.
• Working knowledge of Splunk SOAR and security automation concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting API communications, authentication, and integration issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reusable API integrations between security and enterprise platforms.
• Create integration components that support SOAR migration projects and address migration-related functionality gaps.
• Develop Python-based connectors, automation services, and integration workflows.
• Build and consume REST APIs to facilitate secure data exchange across systems.
• Collaborate with SOAR engineers, security operations teams, and application owners to identify integration requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration, API, and automation issues.
• Support the development and maintenance of Splunk SOAR playbooks and related automation workflows.
• Develop integration standards and reusable code libraries to improve scalability and consistency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and operational procedures.
• Participate in solution design reviews, testing efforts, and production deployments.
• Ensure integrations meet security, compliance, and performance requirements.
