Responsibilities

Senior SOAR Engineer - ServiceNow Integrations

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior SOAR Engineer - ServiceNow Integrations for an onsite position (5 days a week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Washington, DC, or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting integrations between Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms and ServiceNow. The position focuses on automating security operations workflows, improving vulnerability management processes, and ensuring seamless data exchange between security tools and enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate has experience building and supporting enterprise security integrations and collaborating with security, infrastructure, and IT service management teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between SOAR platforms and ServiceNow
• Build and support automated workflows that synchronize incidents, alerts, tasks, and remediation activities
• Develop integrations using APIs, web services, and automation frameworks
• Partner with Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, and IT Service Management teams to streamline processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration, workflow, and data synchronization issues
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration diagrams, and operational procedures
• Support platform upgrades, testing, and deployment activities
• Ensure integrations meet security, compliance, and operational requirements
• Identify opportunities to automate manual security and IT workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, automation, systems integration, or SOAR engineering
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms through APIs and automation solutions
• Experience with ServiceNow workflows, data models, and integrations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• For SOAR-to-ServiceNow focus: Hands-on experience implementing or supporting a SOAR-to-ServiceNow rollout and integrating security incidents, alerts, cases, or response workflows
• For Vulnerability Response focus: Experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) and integrating platforms like Tenable and/or Qualys

Desired skills

• Experience with Splunk SOAR, Cortex XSOAR, or similar platforms
• Python scripting and automation experience
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and web services
• Familiarity with ITSM, CMDB, and workflow automation conceptsServiceNow, security, or cloud certifications
• Experience in enterprise-scale security operations environments

Pay range

$70.25 - $78.25 per hour
