Job summary

Daymark Recovery Services, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a dedicated para-professional to support individuals with mental health and substance use needs. You will conduct interviews, gather records, and assist with SSI/SSDI applications under BHUC's 24-hour urgent care framework.

You will coordinate with social workers, doctors, and community partners, help prepare SOAR medical summaries, and accompany clients to appointments, while maintaining compassionate, recovery-focused service.

Qualifications

• Para Professional staff must have life experience with recovery and a high school diploma or GED.
• AP role requires high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with no experience.
• Tech II requires bachelor's degree in social work, counseling or related Human Services field.
• Peer Support certification is required for Peer Support positions.

Responsibilities

• Work with referral sources to identify applicants through meetings, outreach, and referrals.
• Complete SSI/SSDI interviews and gather information to complete applications.
• Gather medical records and write SOAR Medical Summary Reports.
• Accompany individuals to Social Security Administration appointments.
• Coordinate visits to doctors, psychiatrists, and other specialists for evidence.
• Coordinate case management services with partners and provide related support.
• Assist the team with administrative tasks as needed.

Levels are;Peer Support/Para Professional: $16-$17/hr.AP:$17-$20/hr.QP:$23.08-$24.04/hr.Available Shifts: 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am.Summary: Responsible for providing support and care to meet the physical and psychological needs of consumers through providing direct and indirect care. A desire to work with individuals with severe mental illness and substance abuse issues.Education and/or Experience:Tech I:Para Professional services are delivered by staff who have the life experience of being diagnosed with a serious mental illness or substance addiction problem, and are currently in recovery, stable, and living without relapses. The Paraprofessional has a high school diploma, or GED and at least five years of life experience with a serious mental illness or substance addiction.Peer Support - Requires Peer Support Certification.AP - requires high school diploma and at least one year of appropriate experience. Or Bachelor’s degree in the field with no experience.Tech II:QP- requires bachelor's degree in social work, Counseling or another Human Services field. Qualified Professional (QP) required.
