Role Description

The SNP Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Suwanee, GA, supporting the School Nutrition Program (SNP) in delivering safe, nutritious meals to students and staff. This role assists with daily cafeteria operations, including food preparation, service, and presentation in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines. The SNP Assistant Manager helps coordinate staff schedules, trains team members on food safety and customer service, and monitors inventory, ordering, and proper storage of food and supplies. The role includes maintaining clean, sanitary work areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and accurately completing required reports and records. The SNP Assistant Manager collaborates with school administrators, nutrition managers, and staff to support a positive dining environment and promote student participation in school meal programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service operations, including food preparation, portion control, and safe food handling practices.
• Knowledge of USDA school nutrition guidelines, health and safety regulations, and basic nutrition principles.
• Skills in team coordination, staff training, and day-to-day supervision within a fast-paced service environment.
• Ability to manage inventory, assist with ordering, and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with students, staff, and school leaders.
• Demonstrated reliability, time management, and attention to cleanliness and detail in cafeteria operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior school nutrition, food service, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform duties that require repetitive movement.
