Job summary

Red Lodge Mountain is seeking a Snowsports Assistant Supervisor who thrives on powder days, leadership moments, and creating peak guest experiences. You’ll coach, problem-solve, and help run the Snowsports School while mentoring instructors and maintaining high energy on the slopes.

As part of the team, you’ll oversee daily operations, design on-snow training, and even teach when needed, all while upholding PSIA/AASI values and safety. Expect weekends and early mornings in Montana’s outdoors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of snowsports instruction or management experience.
• PSIA or AASI Level II Certification (in good standing).
• Children’s Specialist 1 (CS1) certification.

Responsibilities

• Be the right hand to the Snowsports Manager — helping lead daily operations and ensuring every run, lesson, and guest interaction goes smoothly.
• Inspire and support instructors to deliver lessons that are safe, effective, and full of fun.
• Lead with PSIA/AASI principles — excellence with a smile.
• Build and maintain staff schedules, oversee payroll, and coordinate programs.
• Keep communication flowing between Snowsports Desk, Rental Shop, and Guest Services.
• Help design and deliver on-snow training sessions and clinics that elevate skills and confidence.
• Jump in and teach lessons when needed and address guest questions with empathy and enthusiasm.
• Celebrate wins with your team and champion Red Lodge Mountain’s values.
