Job summary

Massanutten Resort in McGaheysville, VA is seeking a Snowmaking Manager to lead all snowmaking operations, ensuring snow coverage and quality that drive terrain openings and guest experiences. You will plan daily and seasonal snowmaking in response to weather and oversee the snowmaking system.

You will supervise staff, manage training and scheduling, coordinate with Grooming, Lift Operations, Ski Patrol, and Snow Tubing, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on sloped terrain.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead snowmaking operations to ensure snow coverage and quality.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of the snowmaking system.
• Coordinate with Grooming, Lift Operations, Ski Patrol, and Snow Tubing.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and staffing requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety, policies, and regulations.
