Job summary

Vail Resorts in Pennsylvania is hiring Snowmakers for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. Start wage is $20.00–$23.00 per hour, with full-time and part-time shifts available.

You'll operate snowmaking equipment, work outdoors in alpine conditions, and complete required background checks. Housing is available, and benefits include free employee passes, discounts, a 401(k), and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Basic hand tool knowledge and skill.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in alpine environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate all snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate all vehicles, including snowmobiles, safely.
• Perform basic snowmaking equipment maintenance.
• Produce snow to create the best skiing surface for guests.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

As a Snowmaker, you will brave the elements and helpbuild outthe mountain for the skiing guest. Snowmaking is a physically demanding and exciting job. Work with some of the most fascinating equipment on themountain, andmake it snow!

Job Specifications:

Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Job Requirements

• Able to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment

• The expected pay range is$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
