Job summary

Smugglers is seeking a dedicated snowmaker to join our outdoor mountain crew. You'll operate and maintain snow guns, pumps and compressors, and hike through weather to keep snow flying.

This seasonal role runs four 12-hour shifts per week, with overtime at 1.5x. You should enjoy the outdoors, be able to lift 50–100 lbs, and complete pre-season training. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy outdoor work in mountain conditions.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pre-season training mandatory.
• Experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain snow guns, pumps and compressors to keep snow flying.
• Hike up and down the mountain in all weather conditions.
• Ensure safe and efficient snowmaking operations.
• Operate snowmobiles and ATVs as needed.
• Assist crew leader with preparation, operation and maintenance of snowmaking systems.

Want the GREATEST job on the mountain? Come join our fantastic snowmaking team! Snowmakers get to be outside enjoying all mother nature has to offer. Snowmakers typically work four 12 hour shifts per week (hours over 40 are paid at 1.5x). Weekend and holiday shifts may be required. The season begins November 1st and culminates mid January. Snowmakers have the opportunity to work in other capacities once the season ends.

• Running and maintaining snow guns, pumps and compressors to keep snow flying
• Hiking up and down the mountain in all types of weather and conditions
• Responsible for safe and efficient snowmaking
• Operating snowmobiles and ATVs
• Assisting the crew leader in preparation, operation, and maintenance of snowmaking systems.

• Love for the outdoors
• Ability to lift 50-100lbs
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience a plus- but not required
• Pre-season training mandatory
• Helmet and uniform jacket provided.
