Job summary

Snowbasin Resort is seeking seasonal full-time snowmaking staff. This outdoor role operates in cold conditions and runs from late October to January, with potential extension into February/March. Day shifts run 7am–7pm and night shifts 7pm–7am, four consecutive days.

You will operate snow guns, monitor water and snow systems, perform setup/teardown, and handle related equipment. A valid driver’s license and reliable 4WD or snow tires are required; ski industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gun runs and snow quality checks.
• Setup, teardown, and troubleshooting of snow guns.
• Operate and monitor snowmaking systems and water controls.
• Monitor snowmaking equipment and pressure/flow.
• Operate trucks, ATVs, UTVs, hoses, and hand tools.
• Work 12-hour shifts, day or night, four consecutive days.

SUMMARY:

This job is an outside position working in the elements, working under dark, cold and adverse conditions. Work begins late October and typically runs through the middle of January, but could run through February/March. FULL-TIME ONLY. 12 hour shifts are required Day Shift from 7am to 7pm, Night Shift from 7pm to 7am four consecutive days.

What will you be doing?

• Gun runs consisting of rotating guns, checking snow quality and clearing snow from around shelters.
• Setup, teardown, troubleshooting and mobilization of automatic, manual and fan guns.
• Monitor and operation of snowmaking computer as well as system pressure and flow.
• Monitor and operation of water computer.
• Monitor snowmaking motor room
• Your own reliable transportation is a must, 4WD or snow tires recommended. No public transportation available.
• Valid driver’s license required.
