Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, LLC is seeking seasonal Snowmakers for the upcoming snow season in Hancock, MA. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Snowmaking Supervisor and Environmental Operations leadership.

Shifts run day and night to maintain mountain snow coverage under changing weather conditions. The position requires working outdoors in extreme winter conditions, lifting up to 100 lbs, and flexibility to extended or consecutive days as weather dictates.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working outdoors in extreme winter conditions.
• Capable of working on your feet for extended periods.
• Able to walk steep, variable terrain safely and confidently.
• Able to lift 10-100 lbs on a regular basis.
• Comfortable with heights and able to ride a chairlift.
• Flexible and willing to work extended or consecutive days as weather requires.

Responsibilities

• Start up, shut down, and maintain snow guns.
• Adjust equipment to adapt to changing temperatures and wind conditions.
• Position snow guns for optimal snow coverage.
• Monitor and maintain pumping and water systems.
• Ensure snowmaking equipment runs efficiently and safely at all times.
• Assist with mountain projects and, when needed, support other departments such as Lifts and Mountain Adventure Park.
• Perform additional duties as directed by your supervisor.

Season & Schedule**

This seasonal role typically begins in late October and runs through the end of March, weather permitting. Snowmaking is dependent on weather conditions, which means **flexibility is key** - we make snow when Mother Nature allows. Shifts may be extended, or start times adjusted, with little notice. This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Snowmaking Supervisor, Director of Environmental Operations, and Director of Environmental Management. **Shifts** Day Shift: 8am - 8pm Night Shift: 8pm - 8am
