Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to support a large-scale data modernization initiative. You will build Snowflake data models with dbt, write optimized SQL, and assist migrating reports to the cloud data warehouse, enabling enterprise analytics.

You'll collaborate with Data and BI Engineers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and apply dimensional modeling best practices to deliver scalable data solutions for stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong SQL fundamentals including joins and aggregations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Exposure to Snowflake or cloud data warehouse technologies.
• Familiarity with dbt and modern data modeling concepts.
• Exposure to Python, Airflow or related data engineering tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build Snowflake data models using dbt and translate business requirements into scalable tables.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and analytics needs.
• Support migration of reports from legacy platforms to a modern cloud data warehouse.
• Apply dimensional modeling and star-schema best practices in warehouse design.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to resolve data pipeline dependencies.
• Support downstream reporting and dashboard needs with BI Engineers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and team collaboration.
