Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, SQL, ETL/ELT development and Azure cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake and dbt.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines from multiple sources.
• Develop reusable dbt models, macros, tests, snapshots, and documentation.
• Implement dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schemas) for reporting and analytics.
• Tune Snowflake performance via query optimization, clustering and warehouse sizing.
• Design data quality frameworks and automated validations with dbt.
• Collaborate with analysts, scientists and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for dbt deployments and automate data workflows.
• Ensure data governance, security and compliance in Snowflake environments.
• Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis and preventive actions.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake & dbt Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Warehousing, and Analytics Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt (Data Build Tool), SQL, ETL/ELT development, and Azure cloud platform. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and modern data warehouse solutions to support enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake and dbt.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load large-scale data from multiple sources.
• Develop reusable and modular dbt models, macros, tests, snapshots, and documentation.
• Implement dimensional data models including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema for reporting and analytics.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse sizing.
• Design and implement data quality frameworks, monitoring, and automated validations using dbt.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Stakeholders, and Product teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for dbt deployments and automate data workflows.
• Ensure data governance, security, compliance, and best practices within Snowflake environments.
• Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
