Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Snow Removal Operator for Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, CA. The role focuses on removing snow from parking areas to maintain safe, accessible spaces for guests and members.

The position requires a Class C Driver License, prior heavy equipment operation experience, and flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays. Seasonal or part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C Driver License and a driving record meeting the standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier.
• Previous experience operating large heavy equipment is required.
• Winter snow-plowing experience is preferred.
• Prior ski resort or hospitality experience preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty equipment, primarily loaders.
• Be available to work off-hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Snow removal shifts are primarily scheduled between 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., depending on storm conditions and operational needs.
• Inspect equipment and fluid levels before use.
• Fuel equipment as needed.
• Inspect tire chains and coordinate with vehicle mechanics for repairs or adjustments as necessary.
• Operate all equipment safely and responsibly, prioritizing safe and efficient snow removal over speed.
• Immediately report any leaks, spills, equipment damage, or other safety concerns.
• Help protect the mountain environment by preventing and addressing spills.
• Other duties as assigned.
