Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, CA, seeks a Snow Cat Operator to join the Snow Surfaces Department. The role centers on grooming and maintaining slopes to create pristine surfaces for guests, including post-run cleanup to restore corduroy.

Ideal candidates bring experience with heavy equipment, attention to detail, and a passion for mountain hospitality.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, snowcats or tractors.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify malfunctions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety guidelines.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate snowcat grooming equipment to maintain trails and surfaces.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify issues.
• Communicate with maintenance team about repairs and safety.
• Follow grooming patterns and resort procedures for quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
