Job summary

Homewood Mountain & Lake Club is seeking Snow Removal Operators to clear snow from parking areas during and after storms, ensuring safe, accessible spaces for guests. You will operate heavy equipment (primarily loaders) on early morning shifts (3:00 a.m.

to 9:00 a.m.), inspect and fuel machines, report safety issues, and work with the team to protect the mountain environment. Strong preference for previous snow-plowing or ski resort hospitality experience; a valid Class C license and ability to

  • Ski resort or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment (primarily loaders) and perform snow removal.
  • Work off-hours including weekends/holidays; shifts 3:00–9:00 am.
  • Inspect equipment, fluids, and tires; fuel and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Report leaks, spills, and safety issues to the Base Operations Director.
  • Protect the environment; prevent spills and maintain responsible stewardship.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Summary

Snow Removal Operators are responsible for removing snow from all Homewood parking lots during and after snowstorms. The goal is to maintain safe, accessible parking areas and ensure a smooth experience for our guests.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty equipment, primarily loaders. Be available to work off-hours, including weekends and holidays. Snow removal shifts are primarily scheduled between 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., depending on storm conditions and operational needs. Inspect equipment and fluid levels before use. Fuel equipment as needed. Inspect tire chains and coordinate with vehicle mechanics for repairs or adjustments as necessary. Operate all equipment safely and responsibly, prioritizing safe and efficient snow removal over speed. Immediately report any leaks, spills, equipment damage, or other safety concerns to the Base Operations Director by phone or text. Help protect the mountain environment by taking care to prevent and promptly address fuel, hydraulic fluid, or other spills. We take pride in being responsible stewards of the environment. Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Valid Class C Driver License and a driving record meeting the standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier. Previous experience operating large heavy equipment is required. Winter snow-plowing experience is preferred. Prior ski resort or hospitality experience preferred. 18 years of age or older.

Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Salary

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $22.60-$35 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
