Job summary

Prescription Landscape is seeking a Snow and Ice Crew Lead to manage a field crew for sidewalk clearing and de-icing tasks. You will translate event plans into daily assignments, prep crew and equipment, monitor safety and quality, document service, coach crew members, and escalate issues when needed.

In this on-site role in Saint Paul, MN, you will lead pre-use inspections, verify PPE, manage timekeeping, and maintain communication with campus supervisor or production manager.

Qualifications

• Previous snow and ice or related field experience.
• Experience directing and training a small crew.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Ability to follow site maps, route plans, safety information, and verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Review the site plan, forecast, service priorities, staffing, equipment, and materials before deployment and arrive early to prepare the crew.
• Assign and demonstrate work, establish safe zones and communication methods, monitor pace and quality, and adjust activity within the approved event plan.
• Account for crew members, verify accurate timekeeping, manage breaks and fatigue within policy, and communicate staffing gaps promptly.
• Provide in-field coaching and report attendance, conduct, safety, or performance concerns to the applicable supervisor.
• Serve as the onsite contact for routine production matters and refer scope, pricing, or customer-commitment decisions to management.
• Lead pre-use inspections and safety preparation; verify PPE, communication devices, and equipment are ready and secured.
